  Brain tumour and Awake Surgery

Today Neuro-anaesthesia team at GEIMS managed an awake craniotomy case.
Patient was 68 yr old Male with an intracranial SOL of 5cm by 5cm by 5cm size in left fronto parietal convexity.
A left FTP craniotomy with reverse question mark flap was done under conscious sedation and scalp block. The whole procedure was painless and uneventful. The patient was periodically assessed intraoperatively for any motor deficits.
Patient was completely awake with no neurological deficit immediate post OP.
